BlockSite is the cheapest subscription on this list and it is genuinely good at blocking websites. Its free tier carries ads, which is a strange thing to sit inside an app you installed to reduce the amount of noise on your phone.

Where BlockSite is the better buy
BlockSite started in the browser and it shows. Block by category, block by keyword, redirect a blocked site somewhere useful, put a custom page in the way, and have all of it sync between the extension and your phone. Otto does not touch websites at all. If the thing eating your day is a browser tab rather than an app, Otto is the wrong tool.
Where Otto is the better fit
If it is apps, Otto blocks them without ads, without an account and without a subscription that renews at a higher price than the one you signed up at.
